NEVER LEAVE MACHINE UNATTENDED! Threads can catch on foot and pull designs out of position. Stabilizer Suggestions - Method 1 : Use 2 layers of Water Soluble stabilizer in hoop and lightly spray with Machine Embroidery Spray. Place fabric to be appliqued on top of this in correct position. (Excess can be trimmed away and the rest will wash out.) Method 2: Use a cutaway stabilizer sheer enough to leave in behind stitches. Tips For Trimming Around Fabric - The designs must be trimmed as closely as possible to stitching. Use a large enough piece of fabric for ease in holding while trimming. Paper Fabric Templates are included on page 2. Pick up edge of fabric to be trimmed. Don't pull hard, or design will be pulled out of line, but keep tension on it as you are trimming around design area. Try to keep scissors as flat (with points up) in the hoop as possible. The new 'bent' scissors now available are helpful when trimming around edges. Don't try to trim big sections at one time - make small cuts. Lay Hoop on a flat surface when trimming. If working space is limited try using a small cutting board in your lap as a flat surface. Optional - To keep fabric edges from fraying from wear & washing, Heat 'N' Bond Lite® may be ironed to the back of each fabric piece before appliquing. (Remove backing before placing on hoop. All Machines - Do a Trial test with a small design to get an idea how this method works. After you have done it several times it will become easier.
